For more than 20 years, I have carried the weight of one traumatic event that forever altered the course of my life: sexual assault.

If there is anything that can change a man, it is sexual assault. It's not something that's talked about often—not in society, and certainly not in many church circles. But it happens to men too. And when it does, it shatters more than a single moment. It fractures identity, trust, and the sense of safety that many take for granted.

The aftermath became the battlefield of my mind, my emotions, and my faith.

More than two decades ago, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. I wish I could say that one moment instantly erased the trauma, but it didn't. What it did give me was an unshakable anchor. Scripture reminds us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18).

Through every struggle, every setback, and every step toward healing, God has remained faithful. I am still standing. I am still learning what it means to walk with both brokenness and faith side by side. And I hold tightly to His promise: "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6).

Out of this journey, StayHungry4Him was born.

Because everyone has a story. Everyone carries wounds—some visible, many hidden. Everyone has experienced moments that have shaped the direction of their lives. And everyone needs a Savior and a community willing to love without judgment.

Our mission is to reach men, women, and families living in low-income hotels and motels with the love of Jesus Christ. Behind every motel door is a story. Some have experienced addiction, abuse, homelessness, poverty, abandonment, incarceration, or devastating loss. Others are simply trying to survive one day at a time. Whatever brought them there, we believe God has not abandoned them, and their current circumstances do not define His purpose for their lives.

Through hot meals, prayer, the Gospel, and genuine relationships, we seek to remind people that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved by God. StayHungry4Him exists because we believe a hunger for God leads to healing, restoration, freedom, and hope.
